She was also severely beaten & sexually assaulted in her late teens.
Since childhood, TaniA has also been battling with lifelong health issues. Including battling with episodes of depression & anxiety & post traumatic stress disorder. In January 2025, As grateful as TaniA was for the recognition growth she had built on the platform. She made the decision to notably remove her full music catalog from Spotify that had gained over 6 million streams since the pandemic. Some may have believed this was a risky move for an indie artist in a world where Spotify is the go too. TaniA however stays true to maintaining her integrity as an independent artist. She feels that independent artists music is not protected enough on the platform. With bot ran playlists that anyone can end up on and have no control over. And how artists are treated unfairly by being paid a fraction of a penny per stream. How TaniA sees it, true fans will follow & support you where ever you go. And thankfully after a successful year post Spotify, her fans have done just that.
